Let us tell you a little about us...

Most of our members are single professionals looking for a long term partner. However, you don't have to be looking for a romantic relationship to join Love and Friends.   Perhaps your job has been relocated or maybe you just want to meet more like-minded people for some stimulating conversation.

Our physical HQ is in London, England - but we're open to members from anywhere (except outer space)..

So, apart from the fact that we're offering free membership, what are the benefits of Love and Friends?

Our members...

We're really interested in building a community of high quality active members  - not just people who log on once and then never bother responding to emails. To achieve this, for example, our system allows members to suspend their membership when they are unavailable.

We want you to open up a new circle of friends you can correspond with and can meet, if you wish. You won't become a nerd sending emails that don't get replied to.

It's difficult to define a stereotypical Love and Friends member. Agewise we are open to members from 18 to 88 (and above!) and most of our members are well educated, successful professionals.

As far as we're concerned, educated doesn't necessarily mean having a formal educational qualification.  Whether you have been to University or graduated from the school of life you're welcome to join.

...go beyond what many other Internet dating agencies offer. They are fun to read - allowing members to demonstrate their wit and wisdom and give a real flavour of their personality

Members also have the opportunity to join in discussions of topical interest, chat and submit articles to our online magazine.

Free membership...

Basic membership of Love and Friends is free. This entitles you to post your profile, search for other members and exchange messages.

We also offer enhanced membership that offers extra features for a modest fee. It's possible to earn enhanced  membership by referring your friends (referrals are our largest source of new members!) or contributing articles to our magazine.

We expect...

...our members to behave in a civilised and cultured manner. Crude or offensive remarks simply aren't on and we aren't a place for married people looking for casual relationships. We retain full authority to suspend or permanently bar any member whose behaviour we feel is contrary to the spirit of Love and Friends. We very rarely have to do this as the deterrent factor means unsuitable people don't tend to join in the first place.

We're committed...

...to providing a fun and safe way of meeting new people. We have lots of ideas for adding new features to our service - many of these come from our members and we're always keen to get more.
